Abstract

This study explores the interactions between universities and industries to foster innovation through knowledge exchange. Through a systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis of 907 publications from 1970 to May 2023, the study addresses eight research questions, covering descriptive characteristics, publication trends, influential sources and articles, relevant countries, and institutions, as well as scientific productivity and emerging research areas in the field of University-Industry Linkages (UIL). Utilizing the Scopus database and Biblioshiny software, quantitative and qualitative analyses were conducted, including Bradford's Law of Scattering, Lotka's Law of Scientific Productivity, keyword analysis, and thematic map analysis. The findings offer a comprehensive scientific mapping of UIL literature, highlighting research gaps and potential avenues for future studies in this domain
